Red knots is approximately 18cm in length. “Tie”
red knot, i.e., “propitious” red knot as both sounds similar in
mandarin, was believed by people in the past to bring good luck and
auspicious prospects. Hanging “Chinese knots”
at home means bringing good luck. Chinese knots mostly use the twist
and tie knitting method with one red string – this metaphors unity of
household with prospects, which in turn becomes popular among people.
